New Delhi, 14th May 2022

Aman Lekhi’s impeccable character and extraordinary ability to argue difficult legal issues with ease and lucidity make him stand out from his peers. The unmatched legal acumen was on display during his tenure as Additional Solicitor General of India in the Supreme Court. His arguments have always brought a unique perspective to the legal proceedings.

His ardour for law and forcefulness of submissions give his style intensity and vitality which is difficult to replicate. He propounded the inter-play of municipal law with GATT in the issue of quantitative restrictions on imported commodities; applied the principles of RTI against UPSC with regards to Civil Services Preliminary Examination-2006 leading to change in the pattern of the examination itself; he helped in extending the ambit of Prevention of Corruption Act to private universities to curb the rampant bribing in the admission process.
